Hi peeps. I'm here to blog about my Spain (and Paris, kinda) trip. The country's really great, I loved it so much! Wished I didn't bring so much anxiety along with me though.
WARNING: PICTURE HEAVY POST.
Pretty pink toilet bowl at Barcelona airport.

Jetlagged face but omg loving my hair here. Think the aircraft atmosphere made it so curly? In the subsequent days it became extremely dry and frizzy without conditioning. Sigh. Worse still in Paris where we couldn't bathe because we didn't have our luggages... (long story ahead)

Inside a really old church, I love this photo. Natural light!

This is how the church looked like from the outside.

This place... I don't know where it is. HAHA. But it was really sunny and I was perspiring despite the cold weather! Shiok. Why can't SG be like this? (without raining)

Their Zara stores are like Giordano in Singapore. It's everywhere. I think just Barcelona shopping area we walked past 3-4 stores? And they are really huge. Madness.

Buffet dinner which was really gross. Top photo was my "before" photo and ^ is after. Not much difference? But seriously it was gross. I don't think it was even edible I don't know it made me feel real sick eating it.

Next morning's buffet breakfast. The oil from the scrambled egg scares me.

This is real yummy it's like a bread biscuit... Something like that.
At Monserrat which is a mountain... It was pretty cold.

Bought some fig cake or something like that from this kinda lady. It's quite yum surprisingly. Haha.

Goat's cheese. Their cheese is like the hard kind? I don't know how to describe but it's just really different. I guess it's really authentic and I liked it.
I was so in love I kept eating the samples and got my mum to buy some home. And my mum was unconvinced how delicious I said it was. So despite being like a STRICTLY-NO-DAIRY-PRODUCTS-FOR-ME person, she tried it and puked. HAHA. But honestly it wasn't that bad and it tasted nothing like ordinary cheese!

So this was the guy we bought from. Beside his stall like over there <<< there was this really hot Spanish dude. I was being really shy and trying not to ogle at him. Nearly died when my mum almost went up to tell him
"my daughter wants a photo with you" but aiya come to think about it I regretted because he was really good looking. HAHAHA. *girl moment over*

At Peniscola. Sadly it's name is being made fun of everytime it's mentioned.

Woah really loved the houses there!
Had seafood paella for dinner. Paella is some national dish of Spain which is kinda like their Spanish fried rice la. (we call ours 扬州炒饭 while they have high class name HAHA) I was really excited to try it!

Tasted... Okok. I think I wasn't really used to the taste I guess.

Super bored I came up to the hotel room early after breakfast. I don't really understand how my parents manage to eat so for super long during buffet breakfast. I guess I don't eat much. Haha oh wells.
This is Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències (City of Arts and Sciences). Kk fine I googled the Spanish name ok?

So futuristic. I can imagine all our buildings looking like this in future.

Really beautiful place.

This used to be a bull-ring. Used to be, I think. I can't remember!

At McD jewing their toilet and free wifi. The only other people you see doing this kinda things are Asians. Haha seriously. I think it's an Asian thing we kinda trust Macs toilet only.

Flamenco dance in a cave like thingy.
On our way to Alhambra palace,

GINGER CAT! Super chio! I was so scared I'll scare it away because I have the tendency to make cats run away everytime I go near them... :(

The view from the palace was awesome! OMG

Hehe yes and the picture up there ^

Artistic shot of Jean taken by me while I was strangling her.

Lunch was at a canteen kinda place along the highway. The Ikea style of ordering food.

The food was high-wayish and weird. I ordered this fish thingy it tasted really weird. I don't know why.

No desserts in Singapore can compare to the original ones in Europe honestly. Even a simple Eclair. *drools* We bought some other tarts which was real yummy too but I gobbled it up before I can take a photo of it. Hehe.

Was waiting for time to pass and when I walked out I saw this beautiful cat! Let me tell you that stray cats in Spain are as common as dustbins in Singapore (I'm NOT comparing them to bins). I saw at least 20 just around the highway but of course all of them ran away at the sight of yours truly... Except for this la.

I was kidding man. I zoomed from a distance. She moved after 3 shots -_-

Our hotel room. They ran out of rooms, so they gave us 2 two-storeyed rooms instead with no extra charges! Shiok.

Dinner. I love how they serve salads before every single meal. Love it.
Anyway let me explain something ridiculous that happened then. Our tour was divided into 2 buses A and B. Bus A took Singapore Airlines and they have extra days at London after that, while bus B (us) took Air France and tour only Spain. So naturally bus A people paid more for their ticket and trip.
Apparently there was this family in Bus A who complained about us Bus B always reaching the restaurant before they did. And they were unhappy. I think because apparently pay more $ must reach restaurant earlier and sit down before us because we paid less.
RIDICULOUS NOT YOU TELL ME? -_- So anyways they complained to the tour agency about their dissatisfaction towards bus B people. I have never heard of people who are SO Singaporean before. Wtf.
So for subsequent meals during the trip, even though our bus reached the restaurant first (obviously we will reach first because we have half the number of people on bus A, retards) we had to SIT ON THE COACH and WAIT FOR BUS A PEOPLE especially that particular family to alight, get their asses on the seats of the restaurant before we can get down the bus because we didn't pay as much money for the trip. WTF IS THIS LOGIC? I mean ok you guys may be richer but restaurant only what...
Sick family that is. By the way I heard from some gossips (muahahaha) that they insist on sitting at the first 2 rows of the coach and once there was this lady who didn't know so she sat on their seats (wasn't even THEIRS to begin with ok) and they got really pissed off and "tsk"-ed her. Woah what the hell. Disgusting.

At don't know what's this place called in Geneve. I fell sick with a fever. It was awful.

Look at my eyes they were so swollen because I was ill :(

This place is amazing.

Cute little girl in our bus. Her parents became real good friends with my parents LOL. Epic friendship.

SO CUTE AHHHH and they were all holding onto a rope along the streets. :)

Was damn scared the horse will suddenly go crazy and kick me HAHA.

FREAK THIS PLACE WAS EFFING COLD. Ok it wasn't THAT cold but the wind was freaking strong. And when there's strong wind you will shiver like mad. I was trying to take a photo of my hair flying all around but it so happened to block my entire face. It was extremely cold and I was in leggings gah. May I add that I was feverish and flu-ish.

Had to climb like... Ok I don't remember how many storeys but up the cathedral to catch a glimpse of this. Which is breath-taking. Nearly died though my stamina is like shit.
After that I quarreled with my mum in the fucking rain while shopping. It was super horrible. My dad and sis were tired so they didn't shop with us and because of some miscommunication my mum and I started fighting and I ran away from her in the rain while running a fever. And I cried. Damn effed up. Ok but everything was ok after that. I was freezing.

My dad told me to drink beer so that I'll get better. EEEK I HATE BEER. And it obviously didn't make me feel better.

Even the food they served was like sick food-ish.
The next day at this place which I really don't remember what's this is called. HAHA. It rained like crazy and my shoes and all became wet. Sigh hate rainy days.

Inside the cathedral. Pretty proud of myself for this shot hehe. Nothing much I didn't take much photos because it was just looking around and understanding history all that.

This is dinner: angel hair (aka meesua LOL) and some soup thing they pour. It tasted really weird ok I don't know I think I'm not used to Spanish food.

Meat was totally uncooked. Like seriously RAW. At first I pointed it out to my parents and they thought it was just supposed to be eaten uncooked. But this is pork? Uncooked? Yea in the end they had to recook everything. Gross.
SERGOVIA! This is my fave place out of my trip. And it wasn't even in the itinerary! The tour agency gave us this free trip to this place because too many people were complaining (especially the first day's dinner haha now you know how bad it was)

This is amazing. Apparently Disney's castle was inspired by this. Breath-taking man.

Yes, this is the marvelous aquaduct Sergovia was well-known for. I honestly cannot explain how magnificent it looks in real life. I think photos don't do justice you seriously have to be there to marvel at it for yourself. It was amazing.

Swollen eyes again. Didn't sleep well at all. And this place was fucking cold. Like 1deg? Is it? I don't know. I think my hands were totally frozen.

Sian tried to take profile pic worthy photos (I didn't really take photos of myself during this trip but because I REALLY LOVED THIS PLACE) but MY EYES WERE SO SWOLLEN T_T Sob.

Loving this candid shot I took! Look at each and everyone of them!

I stood here for 10 mins waiting for birds to fly past so that I can capture a shot. The shot will be unbelievably chio HAHA but sigh no birds. I think the people in my tour group thought I was crazy because I just waited and waited and waited... :/

Unique house we saw.

I CAUGHT THE BIRDS! HAHAHA. This was when the bell for 12 noon rang.

Here for famous roast pig lunch!

Ok so this is it.

Woah I know the pig was already dead but watching this was damn cruel.

So anyway they have a tradition (or at least it's what they're famous for) of chopping the pig with plates and then throwing the plate onto the floor to break it.

It was... normal.

Time to leave this place :'(

I love Sergovia!
Dinner at some tourist thingy. I've never drunk so much wine in one night before. They just kept giving us free flow of wine! When we stepped in, they gave us a glass already.

I HATE THIS! IT'S FREAKING CRUEL! THEY SHOULD BAN IT.

Spanish TV crew and reporter behind us... HAHA. They were gonna interview us as part of some Spanish tourism agency thing. Anyway while walking here, they handed us another glass of wine. And the thing I was eating is really delicious! Can't remember what it's called but it's a piece of toasted bread with cheese on top.

OH YES THIS! I don't know what's that brown thing though.

So I was looking at this pig's leg curiously (it's damn gross it's like one whole leg) and the man thought I wanted to try so he taught me how to. I sucked at it. It's supposed to be thin slices but mine came out chunks. Epic fail. Or maybe he just wanted to hold my hand. HAHA I'm kidding.

This is called cava? Another kind of wine. YES. WINE AGAIN. But this is quite nice :)

Paellas for dinner! I got kinda sick of paella already actually.

Dinner table had 3 bottles of wine AGAIN. I think everyone got a little bit drunk. My tour leader puked after drinking like I don't know man quite a lot. Siao one.
Last (supposedly) day at Madrid, free time so we took the metro to shopping belts!

Ok no pics because I lost them but overall it was pretty fun! I also met Justin Bieber LOL he was having so autograph session and the QUEUE WAS CRAZY LONG. And filled with teenagers. *shudders*

It started snowing just before we left! First snow of winter and we caught it :')
So here's the start of the epic-missed-our-flight episode. There was this woman on our bus whom everyone said had some mental problem. We were supposed to meet back at Macdonalds at 4pm to go to the airport but at 4pm everyone was back on the bus besides that woman and her mother. Naturally everyone went looking for her. It was stupid because we were supposed to be at the airport by 5pm or something and the tour leader did not want us to leave without that woman. WHAT THE SHIT.
Blahblahblah so anyway we left because Bryan Wong (the mediacorp celebrity who was on tour with us) was with us. Yes bitches we left Spain without full attendance HAHAHA. When we got to the airport we found the woman and her mother at the airport already. Apparently she said our tour leader didn't specify the meeting time and place so they just cabbed to the airport. But it's such a joke. How the hell did we manage to gather at 4pm at Macs then?
So it was a mad rush to check in and all... Half of us had to claim for tax refund so we were separated from the rest and they checked in first.
Then as we were walking back they were saying our airplane was flying off! EPIC SHIT. It was around 6.15? And our plane was taking off at 6.25pm or something. But in fact our flight was at 8 and the other half took the earlier flight. And I guess I know why they were on the earlier flight, because obviously our plane's gonna have some problem. Yea anyway our plane DID have some problem. It kept circulating around the airport for like 20 mins, so we missed our connecting flight from Paris to Singapore. We saw our plane reverse right before our eyes despite running to the gate.
So we got stuck in the airport with no winter clothes, no luggage, just blankets given to us by the airport. It was negative deg celsius. It was mad.

Dinner from the airport hotel.

Without any fresh clothes, luggage and whatsoever. No thermal wear, no anything. I'd have enjoyed myself much more if we had our luggage with us. :'(
We toured on our own the next morning! Eiffel tower:

I think it was freaking -8 deg celsius here? We were all shaking like crazy. I was in freaking shorts and leggings with no thermal wear.
But I really love Paris... It's beautiful.

Loving my DSLR!

Lucky ass bird.

It's like one of those parks you see people jogging in in the movies... It felt so surreal to be here! Can't believe I had the chance to be in Paris again after a year! :)

Macaroons from McCafe. They were quite yummy. Hehehe.

The Lourve! AHHHHHH *da vinci code craze*

This was where Princess Diana was last seen having a tea before her death something like that... We kept walking and walking and walking. It was the most tiring part of the entire trip.

I love the sky! Makes an awesome backdrop for everything.

Galeries Lafayette. Can't believe I was there again! DREAM~~~

Here's one shot with a random French man in it.

Dined at this small and cozy place for lunch!

Escargots! Authentic FRENCH. This is absolutely heavenly, I love it!
In Singapore I think everyone should try
Ma Maisons! It's a French cum Japanese restaurant (they have one at Bugis I think). Their escargots are pretty good and the atmosphere at the restaurant is lovely! Great place! Japanese people patronise the restaurant :) Info
here!

I thought I wouldn't like it but turns out it was delicious! I chose this over foie gras (goose liver? I think?) I know it's silly but I don't really enjoy foie gras.

This is the best soup I've ever had in my life!

Nightview. Sadly we had to leave for the aiport!
I would love to visit Spain and more parts of Europe next time! :)
